What we do

All services →

01

Appraisal clause invocation & appraisals

The formal exercise of your policy's appraisal provision. It moves the dispute from negotiation to procedure — and it's now guaranteed in every Texas auto policy.

02

Insurance total loss market evaluations

An independent, evidence-grade market valuation of your totaled vehicle — comparable sales, documented condition, a number your insurer has to answer to.

03

Mechanical & body shop repair evaluations

An expert review of repair quality, completeness, and cost — whether the work restored the vehicle or merely closed the ticket.

04

Diminished value assessments

A repaired vehicle is worth less than an unwrecked one, and the market knows it. We quantify the difference and document the claim.

05

Umpire engagements

When two appraisers disagree, a neutral umpire decides. Robert serves as that umpire — a valuation authority both sides can accept.

The doctrine

He spent ten years making the right to appraisal mandatory in every Texas auto policy. It became law on September 1, 2025.

Five TDI meetings. Eight legislative committee appearances. Unanimous passage. The press called it David versus Goliath — the record just calls it Senate Bill 458.
